JAMES IS A PASSIONATE ADVOCATE OF MUSICAL EDUCATION WITH 10 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE AS A TEACHER
James has a private teaching practice in the Mortlake area and also teaches individual students in other parts of London. He has been a teacher for the Dordogne Jazz Summer School for the past 4 years and has had a part in leading many school and community music projects such as the Mbawula African Township Project, SoundWaves, Voices In Meantime and his own series of improvistion workshops for West Sussex Music Service.
His dedication and enthusiasm for teaching has led to a project to write a series of teaching manuals, guiding a novice through the process of becoming a proficient improvising musician.
